AfroFuture presents Champion Sound: Turntable Wars
Sunday, September 13, 2026. The Rooftop at Pier 17, New York. 3:00pm to 10:00pm. In partnership with Martell.
Four regions of the diaspora send their best selectors to one stage for seven hours of music with something on the line. Nigeria, Ghana, Francophone Africa and the Caribbean each hold the roof for eighty five minutes, moving through the same three chapters: Heritage, Right Now, and Steal the Crowd. Every record is scored by the room, live, on the AfroFuture app. A leaderboard runs all day. At 9:20pm one region lifts The Golden Fader and closes the roof.
This is not a party with a battle inside it. It is a party programmed as a battle, where the crowd is the judge and the fans in their hands are the ballots.
Africa was always the future.
